Chapter 4: Nature and National Parks

Canada is rich in lakes, mountains, volcanoes and beautiful waterfalls.  A section of the Great Lakes falls into the southern parts of Canada such as in Quebec and Ontario. Also, part of the Appalachian Mountains lie in Canada.  One of the most famous landmarks that Canada is known for is the Niagara Falls.  The Niagara Falls are actually three waterfalls that happen to be very close to each other.  These three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls (they are in order form largest to smallest). The Niagara Falls attract many tourists and much of the city profits off of it.  In the western part of the region, Canada is known for having Arctic region which is rich in tundra and permafrost.
